Incidental Dreaming

Have you ever had a dream that preceded reality and contained almost entirely accurate details? I had one last night, and although it was nothing more than a dream about waking up, it was still something worth contemplating. Was it simply that my mornings had become so predictable that it was that easy to know what awaited me? Or was it that time had already passed (once again, assuming that time exists)? I think instead that it was that it never happened at all...not in my dream or in reality.

After all, isn't reality just another word for common perception? Isn't everything, no matter how obvious, still under observation? Or have we become so complacent in our lives to the point where matter and light are taken for universal truths?

I pose that if nobody ever tries to split a galaxy with their dreams, then the galaxy will never be split. If nobody eats the yellow snow, then why is it gone in the morning?

Beat that with your cyberhammer!

In such contemplations we realize the vastness and also the restrictions of human thinking. Vastness in that we seek to know that which is beyond ourselves; restrictions in that we have no absolute knowledge.

Dream on,
