Bye Bye Superman

Well everyone, it's time for another update on my buddy Clark Kent...

As you all (anyone who's been reading for a while) know, Clark got married on Dec 31st...Yay, right?

Well since then, I and his father have only managed to speak to him once, and here is the email I just sent him.

Clark,

What has happened to my bestest buddy? You think you know someone, and WHAM...they shut you out.

It starts with them not calling you and being busy when you try to reach them. Next thing you know they won't answer the phone or return emails.

I understand that you're in love and happy to be working in a new job in a new city, and living in your big expensive apartment...but that doesn't mean you have to abandon everything you've known. I'm sorry, but I am seriously worried about you.

Are we too low class for you now? Do you just want to shun your old life? I don't even know if you are reading my emails...

Anyway, Lex will be staying with me at the BBQ next week because I hate guarding those things alone. You are welcome to come and join us, but at the rate we're going I'll probably be lucky to get so much as a wave from you.

If the wife doesn't read this before you, give her my regards.

Sadly,
Reckless Rick

But don't worry everyone, I'll still be here for him...

Privacy? Since when?

OK, where did people get the idea that they are supposed to have a "right to privacy?"

I keep hearing folks talking about their constitutional right to privacy...but I've got news people, THERE IS NO SUCH RIGHT!!!!!!

Have any of you actually read the constitution??? The closest thing in there to privacy is in the 4th Amendment which reads:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Did you see the word privacy in there? NO!!! That just protects you from being terrorized by the police...THAT'S ALL!!!!!!

The ONLY place where you can see a right to privacy is in court cases, and they don't really have say in who has what rights since that responsibility belongs to Congress.

But hey, if you can show me this mysterious right in writing I will give you a prize. :)

So bring on the slams, scams, and shams...
